How-to's of decorating!
With anticipation of the holiday season coming and the change to cooler weather - I love to decorate for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! Adding decor creates a warm and cozy feeling in your home and feelings of throwing a party, cooking some yummy food and enjoy spending time with family & friends come to mind! So I decided to write a post on the how to's of decorating.
Using the technique of layering decor, create a vignette using odd numbers of 3-5 items making sure to use varying heights to add variety & create a focal point!
On the mantel I added a mixture of Fall and Halloween decor...the black garland and orange lights for Halloween and the wreath and candle holders add Fall colors!
On top of the piano I created a vignette by layering the metallic turquoise runner, frame, lantern and small pumpkin - the wreath is the largest item in the vignette and creates the focal point!

I placed on the hearth a lantern with an
LED candle I wrapped with glimmer strings
lights and added small pumpkin decor
around the base!

For the entryway console, I draped a
beautiful orange and black runner
layering on top the black garland while
creating a statement with two pumpkins
and a lantern!
